5x7 Oil on Masonite Panel

Though I’ve never owned one, I do adore the iconic red and black flannel shirt.  I didn’t intend to have so much fun painting — or suggesting, anyway — a black watch flannel shirt, but sometimes serendipity is painting’s best companion. And the woman off to the side — the mother of the kid, I suppose? Well, painting that gray shirt was pretty fun too.
